All you need to do is place it somewhere stable ontop of the two Slugstands and fill them up with water.

Instructions on how to use a Slugstand

Mosquitoes – adding a small amount of salt, or overflowing the water every few weeks will prevent this issue.
You could also let it dry out occasionally or change the water over, we recommend adding some salt as it also puts of the slugs and snails even more.
Ensure the area around the Slugstand and the item placed on top is clear. Keep it away from walls, plants, or anything that could provide an alternative route for slugs to bypass the moat and reach your plants.
Evaporation of the Water Barrier: During sustained hot periods, water may evaporate, leaving behind a salty residue. This residue remains effective as a repellent and can function even without water.
